This headlamp includes 1 18650 for power. The CREE XM-L2 U2 and XP-G2 R5 LEDs shoot out beams of up to 400 lumens on their own, but combined they're more than twice as strong at 1000. This also drains the battery very quickly, which gives the USB Type-C port plenty of use. The HM65R has two buttons for controlling the beams, so using one over the other is an easy change.

The HM65R is machined from a mixture of aluminum, magnesium, and PC material. This makes the head lamp not very heavy but also strong against impacts, with the construction making it dust- and water-tight.
