FAQ
We at Best Light are happy to answer any and all questions you might have, and here is a page to give you some of the obvious ones!
- Q.) What is a lumen?
A.) A lumen is a measure of the total "amount" of visible light in a beam. The lumen count of a flashlight is how you can tell the general brightness of it before buying one. Where the flood and throw of a flashlight can vary wildly depending on how the reflector is made, the lumen count of any LED bin only varies from model to model (XM-L2 have a different count than XP-G). - Q.) Why should I care about the batteries in my flashlight?
A.) Because not all batteries are made equal. Grocery store alkaline batteries might be more plentiful, but they are cheap and often not ideal for flashlights. Those such as the 18650 or CR123A, which both have far more options on Best Light, can last for days or weeks of total use. Most alkaline batteries can barely go half a day. - Q.) What do I do when I have a problem with my flashlight?
A.) The flashlights that we sell are high quality products. Sometimes, even high quality products fail. If one of our flashlights fails we will always be there for you. Just call (571-572-2852), Tweet, PM us on Reddit or email and we will be happy to help you. - Q.) Why should I buy from you instead of Amazon?
A.) In short, because we will honor the vendor's full warranty. For a more detailed answer we wrote a full article about why you should buy from us instead of Amazon. - Q.) Where are you based?
A.) Our offices are in the Eastern United States of America, in Virginia near D.C. For security reasons, we can't disclose where they are, or where our warehouses are, in this FAQ beyond that. And questions in emails or calls about that will have the same answer.
